Where miners take off and hopefully return with crates full of minerals.
Purpose: Serve as a docking place for the shaft miners.
Key items: Mining Station Camera Computer, Mining Shuttle Console, crates and mining equipment (excluding hardsuits)
Workers: Shaft Miner
Access: Captain, Quartermaster, Shaft Miners
Exits: Cargo Office north, security office north-east, Quartermaster's Office north-west, space west, Port Quarter Maintenance east
Supply

The Mining Shuttle
The mining dock is located south of cargo. Cargo Bay is to the north, this is also the main path that miners will take to get onto the main hallway of the station. Maintenance is to the east, space (or the mining shuttle if it is docked) is to the south-west. The boss, the Quartermaster, has their office located in the north-west entrance.

Shaft miners and mining medics start their shift here and the mining dock contains equipment needed to start their shift off safely. To the south-east of the room there are three mining lockers, a vendor and a medical locker. Shaft miners should seek to take out the seclite, an ore bag or two, a mining scanner, mesons, a kinetic accelerator and a survival capsule. Mining medics should take out everything they can, at the very least the injectors, or bring the entire locker with them to the lavaland base. Scattered across the room are various crate and simple mining equipment, so if you arrive to your shift late you can easily improvise at the cost of being weaker against some lavaland monsters.

ORM.gif To the north of the room there is an Ore Redemption Machine (ORM). Once miners have been to lavaland and collected ores, they should empty their ore box or bag in front of the ORM (shown by the yellow square). The ORM will then smelt the ores into usable ones and move them across to the ore silo automatically.

To the west of the room are two consoles: A camera console and a shuttle console. The camera console will provide you will full viewing access if ashwalkers haven't taken out the cameras so that you may check whether the mining station is safe before you go there. The shuttle console is used to call the mining shuttle to and from the station. The shuttle will appear at the west entrance when it is docked. There is another console on the shuttle itself to make it easier to navigate.

On the way to the shuttle you will see some ores, feel free to put them in the ORM before you leave for lavaland - Science will be very grateful to you.

Shaft miners and mining medics start their shift here and the mining dock contains equipment needed to start their shift off safely. The mining dock is split into two rooms: the east room and the west room.

To the north of the east room there are three mining lockers and a vendor, to the south of the room there is a medical locker. Shaft miners should seek to take out the seclite, an ore bag or two, a mining scanner, mesons, a kinetic accelerator and a survival capsule. Scattered around the room are some simple mining equipment, so if you arrive to your shift late you can easily improvise at the cost of being weaker against some lavaland monsters. There is also a microwave and some donk pockets next to the vendor - warm donk pockets are a source of healing!

To the south-east of the room are two consoles: A camera console and a shuttle console. The camera console will provide you will full viewing access to the mining station on lavaland if ashwalkers haven't taken out the cameras so that you may check whether it is safe before you go there. The shuttle console is used to call the mining shuttle to and from the station. The shuttle will appear at the east entrance when it is docked. There is another console on the shuttle itself to make it easier to navigate.

To the west of the west room there is a desk and supply request console so that miners may request items from cargo easily.

Once miners have been to lavaland and collected ores, they should empty their ore box or bag in front of the ORM (shown by the yellow arrow). The ORM will then smelt the ores into usable ones and move them across to the ore silo automatically.
