The city of pipes and air, a peaceful place often left to its automatic work. Yet, some people do come here for other reasons, like to dump bodies, charge a bomb's O2 tank, plant a power sink, get O2 for jet packs, steal CO2 canisters to manually flood the station, bunker down in a revolution, start a cult, build a computer forest, flood the station with harmful gasses or set up the secondary Singularity Engine.
Atmospherics
The main room of atmospherics - this features the majority of the pipes, the pipes giving and receiving air from the rest of the station, and the all-important mixing chamber. This room allows for plenty of experimentation. On the east side of the room are freezers, empty canisters and spare connector ports. Air scrubbers, air pumps, firefighting equipment and a water tank are also placed here.
Tanks and Filtration Room
To the south of the atmospherics room is this room. It hosts the pipes that contains six gases: CO2, N2O, Plasma, O2, N2 and Air. The pipe to the mixing chamber runs along the center of this room. A pipe to the Incinerator is located to the south.
Equipment and Monitoring Room
This room is between the atmospherics desk and atmospherics room. It is where Atmospheric Technicians can monitor gases and station alarms as well as contains all of the personal equipment needed to do their job. There are three lockers containing clothing, tools, and most importantly the trusty Rapid Piping Device (RPD). On the wall next to the lockers is a fire axe. Be sure this doesn't get stolen because it can be a powerful and deadly item in the wrong hands. There is a suit storage unit containing one atmospherics hardsuit and a pair of magboots next to the storage unit. Should you be unsatisfied with the clothing options in the lockers then there is an AtmosDrobe in the corner containing a selection of atmospherics apparel. This room also has a tank dispenser which contains ten oxygen tanks and ten plasma tanks. Next to the tank dispenser is a crate containing several stacks of metal and glass that can be used as desired (projects, repairs, whatever you want).
There are three computers in this room that can be used to monitor the atmospherics situation on the station:
- Tank Monitor which shows the pressure, temperature, and gas mixture of all the gas storage tanks.
- Atmospheric Alert Console which shows all the areas on the station that have an atmosphere alarm going off. Note that clearing alarms from this console only removes the notification, the area will still be under an atmosphere alarm.
- Station Alert Console which shows all atmosphere alarms, power alarms, and fire alarms currently going off on the station. This console cannot clear the alarms.
Atmospherics Desk
This room is the farthest west in the atmospherics department. You generally will not find anybody sitting at the desk or otherwise spending a significant amount of time in here. While the room contains mostly mundane items (including a couple of very old pipe laying machines) it does have an assortment of pre-filled canisters of gas, which include:

There are two lockers containing clothing, tools, and most importantly the trusty Rapid Piping Device (RPD). Between the lockers is a suit storage unit containing one atmospherics hardsuit. Should you be unsatisfied with the clothing options in the lockers then there is an AtmosDrobe in the bottom corner containing a selection of atmospherics apparel. On the wall across from the suit storage unit is a fire axe. Be sure this doesn't get stolen because it can be a powerful and deadly item in the wrong hands.
Atmospherics Desk and Monitoring
This room is south-east of the atmospherics room and is where Atmospheric Technicians monitor gases and station alarms.
There are four computers in this room that can be used to monitor the atmospherics situation on the station:
- Engineering Console which allows you to monitor almost all engineering information across the station. By default it comes with programs to view all APC status', any alarms on the station, and the state of the supermatter engine. More software is available to be installed onto the computer for even greater functionality.
- Atmospherics Monitor which shows the pressure, temperature, and gas mixture of all the gas storage tanks.
- Station Alert Console which shows all atmosphere alarms, power alarms, and fire alarms currently going off on the station. This console cannot clear the alarms.
- Atmospheric Alert Console which shows all the areas on the station that have an atmosphere alarm going off. Note that clearing alarms from this console only removes the notification, the area will still be under an atmosphere alarm.
