Access: Centcom Basic Additional Access: Everywhere Difficulty: Medium Supervisors: Central Command Duties: Represent Nanotrasen, carry out your assignment Guides: Space Law, Chain of Command Quote: Hello crew, time for your inspect- OH JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHAT IS THAT?! |
As a Centcom Official, you are a representative of the Corporation sent to Space Station 13 to complete an assortment of tasks assigned to you by Centcom. You level of power can range from being a station inspector to being a Navy Admiral or Executive.
Middle Management
Chances are you will be but a low-level bureaucrat from Central Command sent to preform an inspection, investigation, or some other managerial task. You will probably be spawned with just the essentials:
- A green Central Command uniform.
- A Central Command headset.
- A clipboard.
- A pair of Sunglasses.
- An energy gun for self-defense.
- Central Command ID, with access to Central Command areas but nowhere on SS13.
Right away you have a headset linked to the Command channel, so be sure to announce your presence as soon as you get on station and set up a meeting with the Captain to discuss whatever important task assigned to you by your superiors. For the most part, your position puts you in a unique position in the station's social hierarchy, and most station authorities will bow to your every whim and possibly even grant you all-access to keep you happy.
The bad news is you're also going to be a very juicy target for just about everyone who is considered to be an enemy of the Corporation due to your status. They'd be hard pressed to resist making an example out of you. It'd be a good idea to make sure you're always accompanied by at least one officer.
Just remember though: You are not above Space Law and the Captain is still the station's ultimate authority so the use of force to impose your authority isn't recommended. Stick to your social advantage. If things go sour, your bosses may recall you. If you feel your life is threatened, you may be able to leave the station the same way you boarded it. Just make sure you keep note of everything of importance, so you have something to report back to Central Command.
Special Roles
Although rare, players can sometime spawn as a special Central Command role. These roles can have a variety of power and abilities, some being able to order a Emergency Response Team onto the station or even a REDACTED. Other roles can have a special place in role play or military command. Some of these roles include, but are not limited to:
Job | Role | Difficulty |
---|---|---|
Nanotrasen Private Security Commander |
Follow directives given to you by Central Command. Assert your dominance on the station and get killed by a assistant with a toolbox. | Hard |
Nanotrasen Private Security Officer |
Attempt to establish yourself as the Head of Security. Break space law, get arrested and executed by the real Head of Security. | Medium |
Special Operations Officer |
Spawn in, get killed by the Death Squad you were supposed to give orders to. | Hard |
Central Command Chain of Command |
Be either a Captain, a Major, a Commodore, Colonel, Rear-Admiral, Admiral or Executive Admiral. Never get spawned in.
Get robbed for your energy sword as Admiral and Executive Admiral and die from smoking your cigar as a Commodore. |
Hard |
These are just some of the roles that a player can be made into. Other instances have included Navy, Diplomats, Corporate Commanders and even Nanotrasen Executives themselves.
Central Command
You have a special relationship with Central Command. You will have a nearly 100% chance of getting response to your messages to them through the Communications Console. Any additional requests will also have a higher chance of being accepted. If you have completed your objectives and wish to return to Central Command, you may file a full report and transmit it to Central Command along with a request for transfer.
Always Remember
In the end, this is meant to be a roleplaying role, so try not to embarrass everyone.
