Assistants are the most versatile and expendable workers on the station. They are recommended to new-comers who have read or are reading [[New Players|''the tutorial'']] and are still getting their space legs.
Greytiders start their shifts around the station with no tools, you will need to storm the [[Primary Tool Storage]] and get the primary tools with a toolbelt, if you are lucky you might just get insulated gloves. If the [[Head of Personnel]] is competent and knows what his people need, he will add more access (If lucky, you might just catch an AA) to your [[Identification Card]]. With more access and perhaps a goal, you can start greytiding. If the [[Head of Personnel]] doesn't give you any access, don't forget to start breaking his windoors just incase.

==Don't piss off Greytiders==
Greytiders are usually constantly at the move, and they will find you 100% of the time, unless you are in [[Brig]]. Greytiders will remember what you did to them, and they will get their revenge as soon as they find you. You'll find that that Greytiders make great fighters!
Due to the lack of responsibility, you'll usually find that Greytiders are the ones responsible for making self-made weapons and then shooting people they don't like to death. More threat is when there are multiple Greytiders, usually, they will have more weapons and firepower. If one dies, they will get pulled off into maintenance, where they built a cloning station.
==Banned?==
You can get banned for greytiding on Yogstation, so be careful and play undercover. Greytide when there are no admins online. Avoid killing snitches, as they are the ones that will snitch to admins and then get you banned. Pathetic players.
==Crimes==
It's easy to stay under the radar as a Greytider, as you have the least-respectable job on the station (aside from [[Clown|that other guy]]). You have [[maintenance]] access, but to go anywhere else you need to be creative. Loot a belt and budget insulated gloves from [[Primary Tool Storage]] if you can and set out! After you gotten the tools, you can start your crimes:
*Break into engineering:
**Steal Insulated Gloves from the room other just mock another engineer.
**Steal a free hardsuit that is waiting for you.
*If the clown plays a prank on you or throws a banana peel under you, don't forget to kill him and then dispose his body in space.
*After your [[Greytider|Homie]] got arrested, go to the Brig and throw potassium+water grenades till he gets free.
*After you helped out your homie and [[Shitcurity]] runs after you, dont forget to turn around and use that harmbaton you stole last time.
The number one advantage of Greytider is your opponent's arrogance. [[Shitcurity]] and other crew members will typically assume you are inexperienced or stupid and unrobust, so surprise them with your knowledge of the game's mechanics.
This doesn't mean you won't run into someone who knows your crimes, but still, keep alert at all times. In the rare case that someone actually asks you to assist them, harmbaton then and then steal their shit. Afterwards run away.
