Most plants can be used in drinks and/or food. There are different ways to process a plant:

Grinding: Necessary to extract reagents. Done with a All-In-One Grinder or a mortar and pestle
Juicing: Also done with the All-In-One Grinder
Distilling: Which includes the use of a fermenting barrel
Chopping: Done by clicking the product (wood for example) with an equipped hatchet
