The courtroom is rarely used except for in special cases. A crew member that has been charged with a crime, generally a capital crime, may be allowed to have a court hearing. The Captain, as head of the station, oversees the hearing and provides the final verdict. The suspect will be allowed to defend him/herself and try to prove themselves innocent. Space Law is a very useful tool for both parties and should be used. Lawyers, if available, should be provided to the suspect to help them in their case.
