If you're particularly adept and your objectives permit you to cause true disasters (hijack, ascended [[heretic]], [[wizard]]?), you can make your own disease that far outweighs the potential of the premade viruses, and doesn't require nearly so much help nor suspicion from innocents before everything has already gone too far to take back.
