Research & Development
Research & Development
Houses the destructive analyzer. You put stuff in it, to numbers go up. The higher the numbers, the more stuff you can produce.

This lab houses the development of hi-tech devices including weapons, batteries, drills, and circuit boards.
With the right research levels, you can construct almost any machine on the station. You can also research upgraded parts to improve existing machines. Remember to sync the database with the network, so the roboticists can benefit from your discoveries!

Items around the station such as the hand teleporter, stun batons and analyzers can be collected used to improve research tech levels.
Your research efforts will cap at a certain point without minerals from mining. Coordinate with the Quartermaster or the Shaft Miners themselves to get the minerals you need.

Toxins Research
This lab focuses on exploring the possibilities of plasma gas, <s>typically</s> always in the form of massive explosions. Provided to you is the Toxins Test Chamber, where you will be testing your creations.

For a more in-depth guide, see the Guide to Research and Development.
While bomb making is reasonably straightforward, it only takes one mistake for the entire room to become flooded with plasma or superheated carbon dioxide. Be patient and cautious.

Toxins Research
Bombs have practical uses as mining charges, though they are mainly sought after by traitors wanting to take out valuable station equipment and cause havoc.

Toxins Mixing is where you spawn.
Xenobiology
The primary purpose of this lab is research on the breeding of slimes, the extracts of which have a variety of fun effects.

This lab focuses on exploring the possibilities of plasma gas, typically in the form of massive explosions. Also provided to you is the Toxins Test Chamber (AKA Bomb Range). Hopefully, this is where you will be testing your bombs.
It also contains a pen capable of safely housing xenomorphs, in case the miners manage to locate a live facehugger. Obviously, breeding alien killing machines on the station can only end well.

Bomb making is not all that easy though, as the Toxins Research Lab is really prone to outbursts of plasma, fire, plasma that's on fire, or even plasma that's on fire and spreading N2O. Yep, it ain't easy being a scientist.
Telescience
This lab specializes in the research of bluespace and teleportation. Provided is a telepad, a console and several GPS devices for you to engage in <s>grand theft</s> research!
For more information, refer to the guide to toxins.

Xenobiology
This laboratory specializes in the the study of alien lifeforms, such as slimes and sometimes xenomorphs.

Careful handling and caution if this lab is advised as it is common for untrained personnel to inadvertently release the specimen. It is important to ensure that the field generators are on and a fire extinguisher is nearby in case of specimens escaping their pen. The slimes themselves can usually be extracted safely using a monkey as bait.

Slime cores harvested from dead baby slimes can be used to further biological research at the R&D lab or given to the Chemists for them to experiment with.

For more information, refer to the Guide to xenobiology.

Telescience
This lab specializes in the research of bluespace and teleportation. Provided is a telepad, a console and several GPS devices for you to defy physics!

For more information, refer to the Guide to telescience.
