The scientific budget refers to the science department, which is built-up of typically average paying jobs. The scientific budget increases based on a few factors. Every time a tech is researched, the budget will gain $25. When a bomb is made and tested the size will be converted into points, which will be converted into money for the budget. There is no money to be gained by making a bomb smaller than any other tested that shift. The budget gains money depending on what slimes have been raised; grey slimes net you $10, tier 1 slimes net you $75, tier 2 slimes net you $200, tier 3 slimes net you $350 and tier 4 slimes net you $1000.
