Miners used to mine asteroids for resources, after exhausting them, they moved onto lavaland, but in the meanwhile long-range NT scanners found a part of the moon which inexplicably is in the goldilock-zone, allowing water to exist. Sulphuric toxins flow from the scorches surface of majority of lavaland, causing the environment to be very caustic. Life finds a way tough, the envrionment is filled with many unseen forms of life, majority of them are very aggressive. Even tough lavaland is a more peaceful destination in comparison to Jungleland, the rich mineral deposits in Jungleland sit right beneath the surface, having been pushed there by more tectonically active parts of the planet. Nanotrasen being known for it's general greedy nature forces miners to work in Jungleland, as the relatively higher mineral content correlates directly to higher profits, in spite of higher chances of miners being torn to shreds by local fauna.
