Custom shuttles give you the ability to create custom ships that can navigate across z-levels very easily and conveniently. These can take lots of time and effort to build, so be prepared to start on one of these bad boys.
How they function
Custom shuttles function quite differently than normal generated shuttles, but a big difference is that they can be built at anytime, rather than needing them spawned.

Description
An item used for designating shuttles quickly and conveniently. You can also link it to a shuttle flight controller to recall your shuttle if it may be lost. NEVER LOSE THIS, OR YOUR SHUTTLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE LINKED. Unlocked via the "Basic Shuttle Research" research node. (Toolbox image is a placeholder)
Shuttle Flight Console
Found in: Circuit Imprinter Used for: Piloting your shuttle Strategy: Select where you wish to fly your shuttle, click initiate flight
Description
Used to pilot your shuttle. You can by default target the auxiliary docking port.
This computer can be placed anywhere but is usually best placed on the shuttle itself to conveniently pilot yourself.
