Council Vote 1025 Detailed Changes

Authors: Aquizit, Dukeofsoleil

Additions to General Rules

  • Names may not reference game mechanics, or any OOC/meta events. For Vuulen (lizards), verbs-the-noun can reference a job or duty. Try to be creative, and do not use the name of any mechanic or job.
    • Ex. Delam, Cogged
  • Names should not reference items or actions that are classified as intellectual property or held as a secret by Nanotrasen. If it is a Syndicate steal objective, it likely falls under these guidelines.
    • Ex. Plasma research, Supermatter Engine/Crystal
  • Meme names should be limited to Clowns, Mimes, Wizards, and Nukie Squad names. See the section below for Clowns/Mimes/Wizards.
    • Note: “John <Lastname>” is fine if the last name is realistic, such as John Miner (a real last name). Something like John Janitor, while fun to say, probably not.
  • If you are unsure if a name is appropriate, you can always ahelp in game or ask staff on Discord.

New Section

Clowns/Mimes/Wizards

  • Meme names are not only allowed but practically encouraged. You’re here to entertain the crew! Step 1 should be a funny name. However, names that reference direct game mechanics are still not allowed.
  • Clowns can take many approaches to names, it can reference pranks, the Honkmother, or just sound ridiculous.
    • Ex. John Slapnuts, A CLOWN NAMED A PIMP NAMED SLICKBACK
  • Mimes usually have puns that reference quietness, silence, or general mimery. Some prefer names that are French in origin
    • Ex. Silent Night, Silencieux le Morts
  • Wizards typically get the most freedom; usually, wizards pick grand, over-the-top names. Or, alternatively, just something silly..
    • Ex. Whimsy the Whimsical, Not a wizard
  • Profanity is allowed, but don’t go overboard.

Adjustments

Silicons

  • Change 3 word limit to 4 (since we already have some who use 4 in their names)
