Overview
As the QM, your main job is to keep the flow of equipment steady. As the shift progresses more and more item will be required from CentCom to the various departments of the station. You must make sure your Cargo Technicians are doing their job and staying out of trouble. You are also the boss of the Shaft Miners. Co-ordinate with them to make sure they collect the right materials for the station. Try and get them some Ripley's from Robotics which should make their job easier and more efficient. Be advised, the HoP does have access to Cargo and can go in and order what he/she wants. Keep an eye on that, don't want any points wasted now.
So...much...paperwork!!
Unfortunately, now that you're the boss of the Cargo department, you will be expected to keep an eye on what's ordered and what's not ordered. This means keeping tabs on things. Paperwork is your friend. Keep a copy of the paper that is printed when someone orders something. It might help to prevent unnecessary point spending.
How to get Supply Points
Ahhhhh good question. They do regenerate by themselves slowly but there is a way to help speed up the collection;
- Crates: 5 points for a crate. Find them crates! They're more valuable than you think!
- Stamped supply manifest: 1 point (needs to be in a crate)
- 5 plasma sheets: 1 point (needs to be in a crate)
You Have The Power!
As the QM you have the power to grant or deny someones order. This can make or break someones round.
You could be a QM that decides that paperwork is the correct way to go about it. Which, by the way, isn't always a bad thing. If someones orders a Virus Crate then you should try and get a form stamped out by the CMO. You could also be a QM that used his initiative. If you see Space Carp 'running' around the place then see if Security needs some assistance, in the form of weapons!
