The lab that specializes in the study of alien lifeforms, such as Slimes and sometimes Xenomorphs. Expect the Scientists to fight over who gets to work here, as it's arguably the most fun.

North-east of the lab contains a number of useful items to assist xenobiologists in their studies; such as a WaterTank.png water tank, Plasmadone.png solid plasma sheets and a BZ canister.png BZ canister. North-west of the lab is a more relaxed area, the only useful item here being some Monkey Cube Box.png monkey cubes. Here there is also a disposals unit. This one is not paired with a containment pen - it leads straight into space, that way the lab rats can't escape into the disposal system.

Test Chamber

There is a chamber to the north, surrounded by electric windows and two layers of windoors. This chamber was built to be used for xenomorph experimentation and to secure other hostile creatures, but now-a-days it is commonly used as a larger slime pen. In the rare case of a xenomorph actually getting contained, there are a number of safety measures set in place. The electrified windows, in case they weren't secure enough, comes equipped with blast doors that are accessible from a button just outside the chamber. "But won't that stop me from seeing inside?" I hear you ask. The answer is no, there's a monitor for the chamber on a table next to the blast doors button. The final safety measure is the shield wall generators. When these are set up correctly, nothing you contain will be able to break through that. In case you wanted to feed whatever monster you have managed to contain, or simply give it items to observe its behavior with, there's a handy little disposal chute on the right side of the chamber that leads directly inside.

The Slime Pens

The slime pens are to the south, and is where the xenobiologists will usually be working. At the start of the shift, this lab comes with two Slimegrey.png grey slimes in pens. There are six pens in total with enough space to hold enough slimes to last the entire shift. Each pen comes equipped with electrified windows, a disposals chute and blast doors (much like the chamber to the north).

Kill Chamber

South of the slime pens is a kill chamber. This is linked to a freezer, which keeps the chamber at a dangerously low temperature at all times. Just outside the chamber are some winter clothes, to prevent crew from being killed alongside the slimes.
